The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an important notice regarding Self-Slot Selection for the Computer Based Examination (CBE) of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025.
Candidates who have applied for the exam must carefully read the details below and complete the slot selection process within the given timeline.

Slot Selection Facility – Important Dates
SSC has provided candidates with the facility to choose:
- Examination City
- Examination Date Block
- Examination Slot
Slot Selection Window:
- Start Date: 16 January 2026
- Last Date: 25 January 2026 (till 11:00 PM)
Candidates must log in to the SSC candidate portal and select their preferred slot within this period.
Note:
Once the slot is selected and submitted, no changes will be allowed under any circumstances.
Key Instructions for Candidates
- Slot selection is mandatory for all candidates.
- The option selected will be treated as final.
- SSC will not entertain any request for change after submission.
- Slot allocation is subject to availability and will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
City Live & Admit Card Details
- City Live Date: 30 January 2026
- Admit Card Release:
- 2–3 days before the exam date
Admit cards will be generated as per SSC’s existing policy.
What If You Miss Slot Selection?
If a candidate fails to select a slot within the given time:
- They can confirm their willingness to appear for the exam through the Feedback Module.
- Last date to confirm willingness: 28 January 2026 (till 11:00 PM)
If a candidate does not complete either:
- Slot selection, or
- Willingness confirmation
Then:
- It will be assumed that the candidate is not interested in appearing for the exam.
- Admit Card will NOT be generated.
- SSC’s decision on slot allocation will be final and binding.
